With all of the noteworthy conferences coming to the D, figuring out who’s who and what’s what has become quite the challenge. Not to mention we haven’t posted any cool lists in a while. Here’s our solution to both: “Three Must-Attend Conferences Coming to Detroit”: a brief lowdown on the most talked about events happening over the next few months. But which one must YOU attend? Continue reading to find out!

1. PSFK Salon Detroit (August 12th)

Who’s Doin It? New York-based PSFK, an online magazine for creative industries.
Who’s Talking:
Social Media Guy, Architecture visionaries, and Solar Power Guru.
Who Should Go:
Creative Visionaries, Green Enthusiasts, and People who want to be inspired to take an active role in Detroit’s growing creative economy.
Who Will Go: Corporate Creatives, Green Enthusiasts and People who can afford the $25 cover. Basically people on this list.

2. TEDxDetroit (September 29th)

Who’s Doin it? TED is an annual event where the top minds in the world share, connect and inspire. TEDx are its smaller, independent events throughout the nation.
Who’s Talking: To be determined, but we know one of our favorite bloggers Becks Davis is involved in organizing.
Who Should Go: “Creators, catalysts, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, designers, scientists, thinkers and doers”
Who Will Go: Only select “Creators, catalysts, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, designers, scientists, thinkers and doers” who get invited or are accepted through its application process.

3. 140 Character Conference (October 20th)

Who’s Doin it? Jeff Pulver, the Chairman and Founder of pulver.com, and VoIP pioneer.
Who’s Talking: To be determined, but you can expect to hear a lot about twitter and its effects on business and society.
Who Should Go: Local Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs who want to learn how to use Twitter to their advantage as well as movers and shakers who want to meet influential local “Tweeps”.
Who Will Go: People who create and participate in strange gatherings known as “tweetups”; Tweeples, Twits, Twitterers, Tweeps, Twudes and Twudettes in Marketing, Media, PR, and Advertising.
