A few months ago we told you about BME Black Male Engagement (pronounced ”Be Me”), the campaign launched by The Knight Foundation for black males ages 14 years or older who are making a difference in the city of Detroit. Today is the last day, but you can still get involved by sharing your own story or by nominating your uncle, coach, or any inspiring leader in Detroit who deserves to be recognized.
In an effort for a final push, the team will be closing out the day at Cass Café from 7–10pm to provide support to potential entrants. Please urge those who should share their story to do so, even if that may be you. There will be food!
