I AM YOUNG DETROIT™ is not just a blog, it's a movement that highlights Detroit's young and upcoming Visionaries, Innovators, Community Leaders, Philanthropists, and Young Professionals under 40. Twice monthly we will profile Young Detroiters who are making their mark on the City of Detroit through their accomplishments and service to the community. “I moved to Detroit from North Carolina to get my juris doctorate degree at Wayne State University School of Law. My mom was excited about my move; she was all about trying to see David Ruffin at Hitsville. Her favorite movie is the Temptations. The biggest difference between Detroit and North Carolina is the weather and North Carolina’s access to mountains and aggregate farmland”.

I AM YOUNG DETROIT ™ is looking to feature Young Detroiters – outstanding young people under 40 from the Metro Detroit area representing a variety of backgrounds and possessing a broad range of interests and goals.

IAYD seeks to engage and inspire other young people to make their mark on the City of Detroit. We are looking for young people ages 18-35 who are strong connectors, heavily involved in the metro Detroit community, and making their own mark on the city!

Our featured profiles are critical to the growth and strength of the I AM YOUNG DETROIT ™ movement. Through sharing their stories and accomplishments we hope to encourage other young people to make their mark!
